This second delivery is an account of ecclesiatical and civil events of the viceroyalty of Peru. It includes biographies of prelates like Gerónimo de Loayza and Saint Toribio de Mogrovejo, highlighting his charity. It recounts the government of viceroys like Francisco de Toledo and the Marquis of Cañete, under his regime took place the repression of rebellions. It also narrates the sending of his son García to Chile. About Toledo’s regime is detailed extensively the war against the Chiriguanos, the author's disbelief regarding a supposed miracle of a cross, the failure of Toledo's military expedition, and the viceroy's quick departure from Peru. It narrates the raid of pirate Francis Drake in Callao and the pursuit by the Spanish armada. It describes Mendaña's second voyage and the discovery of the Marquesas. Finally, it describes the provinces of Tucumán, Paraguay, and Chile, mentioning the Arauco war and the death of Governor Loyola.
