This bibliographical note constitutes a severe accusation of plagiarism against Mr. Arturo Posnansky, a native of Poland residing in Bolivia. The text accuses Posnansky of publishing as his own, signing at the bottom, another person's work titled "Origin of the stones of Tiahuanaco and Kaijappia volcano," which appeared in the Revista Nacional of Buenos Aires and was reproduced by El Ateneo of Lima. It is explicitly pointed out that, except for a few lines where the author incurs grave scientific errors regarding the classification of the stones, the article is a literal Spanish translation of the monumental work Die Ruinenstaette von Tiahuanaco (The Ruins of Tiahuanaco). This original work was written in German by the eminent archaeologists Stübel and Uhle and published in Breslau in 1892. The note harshly criticizes this conduct, qualifying it as a path forbidden to men of science and lamenting the intellectual mystification.
